COVID-19 Vaccine Distribution Phase 2 starts Friday

On Friday April 2, Governor Polis is moving the State’s vaccination phases to Phase 2, the final phase for COVID vaccinations. Anyone who is aged 16 years and older will be eligible for a vaccine.

WCDPHE seeks volunteers for COVID-19 vaccination clinics

The Health Department is looking for non-medical volunteers to help with large-scale COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Evans at the Sunrise Monfort Family Clinic (Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays) and at their south county offices (4209 County Road 24½, Longmont) on Wednesdays.

Sign up for COVID-19 vaccination as eligibility expands to Phase 1B.4

On Friday, March 19, the State of Colorado moved to Phase 1B.4, allowing people 50 and older, as well as additional frontline workers, and those with at least one high-risk condition to get their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

One group of mosquitoes collected from traps set during the week of July 27, 2020, on the Weld County side of the Town of Berthoud has tested positive for West Nile Virus. Currently there are no human cases of WNV in Weld County or in Colorado.

Two additional COVID-19 cases identified; total of 5 cases in Weld County; new change in CDC testing requirements

The Weld County Department of Public Health and Environment was notified late Saturday evening of two additional positive cases. Case investigation is in process and identified close contacts are also being reviewed. Per a change in testing requirements, the CDC is no longer requiring their laboratory to perform a secondary confirmation of any other lab's "positive" test result.
